The Church has always taken part in the annual car boot sale organized by the International Club at Arinsal, generally on the last Sunday in June. The Church stalls have carried clothes (both new and second hand), books and a wide variety of “white elephant” items all of which are donated by members of the church and friends. We need both donations (of goods to sell) and helping hands (to man the stalls) for this event which (on a good year) has been able raise up to €1,500 in a single long extended morning and lunch hour effort.
We also attend the Arinsal Street Market at the annual Arinsal Festa Major which generally falls on the last Sunday in August. Here we man a smaller stall with selected items from our “white elephant” stock and possibly (if available) new items of clothing. Here we need donations more than help manning the stall.
We need to raise about €2,500 from these efforts every year to supplement the planned giving we receive and the collections at our services so as to maintain our plan of having a chaplain come to Andorra almost every month in the year to lead our worship and offer Holy Communion. In the last three years we have signally failed to reach our target for fund raising and this is a matter of concern for the future.
